Hello once again everyone! Good vibes to all of you!
Believe it or not, I’m quickly approaching the one year anniversary of this Substack project. Initially I started this page as a way to keep myself accountable when it comes to my writing goals, plus I longed to share my work with the people in my life.
I feel as if there is a decent amount of stuff for you all to read on this page, but I must be honest. I have not hit my personal writing goals. I have finished part 1 of Where the Sunbeams End, my fictional memoir. I feel this is a small win, but as I start year 2 in a few months I am still wrestling with my identity as a writer.
Bottom line…I have to put more time into my craft and more time into this page. I am still on the fence about Substack and the self publishing route. However, there are a few small things that you all could do to help me believe that I am making forward progress.
If you are enjoying any of my work then please take a little extra time to leave a like or better yet, a comment. Also, please share with your friends and family. I honestly hate to ask this from you, but it really does help my page grow, which in turn gives me confidence that I’m doing something right.
I’m very grateful to have the readership that I do, but this next year I hope to really amp up my work rate, which I hope will in turn push this page to a wider audience. Thanks for all your support and once again Good Vibes your way!
Hi Peter, I just discovered you. Actually, you discovered me first. I'm always a fan of Personal Essays based on experience. It's fascinating to hear about other people's life journeys. Congratulations on your 1 year milestone!
My favorite posts of yours are your personal essays. Though I have also enjoyed your other works. I think you should keep with the setup you currently have. I think the blend is nice! So when is the big anniversary? Congrats! You've inspired me. I might start my own Substack too. :)

Congrats on 1 year! I've been wanting to have more discipline/consistency in my writing practice too. Fingers crossed for growth for us both!
