About 2 months ago I sent out one of these threads in which I expressed my desire to write more and reach a wider audience. Well…so far so good! I’ve seen the numbers grow steadily in just 2 short months, plus I’ve been more consistent with my writing practice.
So a very warm welcome to all of you newcomers! A large portion of you seem to be fellow writers here on Substack and I wanted to give all of you a place within my community of readers to share your projects or favorite pieces.
I’m excited to dive into your work, but I’ll be honest…Substack can be a bit overwhelming. Sometimes, I just don’t know where to start. I thought this thread could be a starting point. If you feel inclined, leave a comment and link, that sort of explains your project, whatever it may be. This will be very helpful not only for me, but for a good portion of my readers who are not on Substack.
I’ll start :) Here’s a little blurb for my ongoing fictional memoir, Where the Sunbeams End.
The memories linger. Maybe it’s all part of the diagnosis, maybe it’s just how my mind works. Maybe there isn’t a real reason why these episodes occur, but still I search. Back through time and the ripples of past lives. What is mental illness? The doctors should be able to tell you, but a definition doesn’t help me get rid of these haunting memories. I’m just one of many, but this is my story. A search for answers. Am I crazy? I’ll let you decide.
My blurb was a little more... creative I guess. But feel free to simply leave a few words and your link. Always interested to know what an author's personal favorite is.
I write a foodie newsletter for foodies who are overweight – and who want to lose weight without losing the will to live. It’s full of stories, recipes and great entertaining menus where the focus is on them being delicious; weight-loss and health are just a bi-product of eating mountains of delicious food – which is possible because the food-palette they use is low-calorie-dense, and that means you get a lot more food for your calorie.
This is beautiful. I’m glad I was tagged in the restack of this. The project I’m working on right now is an album so I don’t have links to it yet, but I will be giving previews as Substack exclusives along the journey. Thank you for doing this, it is such a beautiful thing. 🙏
Dude, what a good idea. The rising tide continues. I also find it hard to read as much from others as I would like. I spend so much time outside working now that the weather is nicer, that my inside IPad time is far less. And I like to write. I will link to my post from today, it just happens to be a post explaining my page and how it came to be about. I’ll also link to one of my stories, hope you enjoy. I look forward to digging in to your page too. Cheers ❤️👻
Hey Will, I'm definitely excited to really dive into your stuff! I am in a similar boat...difficult to find the time to read everything I want to! I thought this could be a place to let everyone share though :) You are on my reading list for sure! Just give me some time ha <3
I like your blurb, it’s very interesting and intriguing. If I were to write one for me it would probably be something along the lines of:
Busy mom finding scraps of time to sketch—both to keep the art senses strong and sharp and as a bandaid fix for not having enough time or space to paint.
Thank you for generously giving a space to tell our story.

Psyched for the album drop!!
Hey Tesstamona, thanks for stopping in! Can't wait to listen!
I have a few Substacks but the general gist is that I'm a crime writer. The most popular one is 'Marple'!
Hey Lucy, thank you for sharing! Can't wait to dive into your writing!

Hey Jenn, thanks for sharing your page! I have loved seeing your sketches and stepping into your busy mom life through your writing!
Thanks Peter! I enjoy reading your stories, too!
