I’m sure we all struggle with that, we just process it differently. I’m always in awe of people who write poetry. I’ve never attempted to, apart from silly little limericks once in a while. Your poem is sad, but sprinkled with hope. I loved it. 😊
I had never tried poetry either, but recently went back to university classes. I took a poetry class with a very supportive instructor and fell in love with writing my own poems. Glad to know you enjoyed <3
Thank you for giving me a read and leaving a comment Francesca <3 I struggle with my identity as a writer and even more so as a poet, but it is my hope that I can reach someone out there. Thanks for being one of those people :) It makes a difference. Looking forward to reading more of your stuff soon :)
My father used language all the time for jokes. Usually puns. He also changed the lyrics to songs, which is something that I like to do. My girlfriend loves shoes, she buys them left and right, is one of my favorite play on words. They sometimes just fly out of my mouth.
I’m not as good with puns as I used to be. Song lyrics are still my forte. I’ve never dabbled in poetry. I never did well with it in school, so I have stayed away from it.
I change the lyrics in songs too! Usually when I'm singing to my dog Bella. So it's always something to do with her <3 Poetry is very difficult for me, but I love it. So I figured, why not keep at it and see where it goes. Thanks for giving me a read :)
And this is true. I only discovered it yesterday. Jerk. We were together over 10 years. He invited me because he didn’t want to eat her food! Talk about nerve. He didn’t want to eat alone!
I hope you're doing ok Margaret <3 As you can see from my about page and from a lot of my work, I also struggle with mental illness. It is something that is difficult to talk about for a lot of folks. I'm glad I found your page and don't ever hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to. I am diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and psychosis. A little different from your diagnosis, I believe. However, I've found that all people face different challenges when it comes to mental illness.

And I am always in awe of those that share it.
Thanks for reading Elizabeth :) And for the comment. I hope you enjoyed
That’s beautiful. It made me quite emotional 💗💗

You cheated on me twice, Thanksgiving giving wasn’t nice, to discover that I was invited to your Kitchen, only because she was serving chicken.
I love to rhyme, don't you!?

Does mumbling when I don't know the words count?
Thanks for the laugh :) And yes, maybe that should count <3

Yes, Margaret I hope you are ok. Love being sent to you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
This poem was rad
And so are you!
I appreciate it Deborah <3
